June is National Fishing Month and the Parks and Recreation Department in Springfield is celebrating by hosting a free fishing rodeo for kids.

- Location: J. Travis Price Park, 4155 Wilks Rd. at Shelter 1
- Fee: Free
The rodeo is in partnership with Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) and is specifically for children 14 years of age and under.
Participants must bring all fishing gear and live bait. No artificial lures are allowed.
Prizes will be awarded mid-morning and the lake will be open for free fishing after the rodeo concludes.
