Wilner Ruth Mims, age 86 of Springfield went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at her home.
She was born October 2, 1935 in Indioneia, Mississippi to Vernon & Ila Williams Tinnon. She worked as a homemaker, raising her children and grandchildren in the faith of Jesus Christ. She was foremost a Christian mother and grandmother. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, and spending time with her family. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Leon Mims; son-in-law, Jimmy Hanley.
She is survived by her son, Richard (Marilyn) Mims, daughters, Janice Yates and Cathy Jo Hanley, all of Springfield, TN; 3 brothers; 5 sisters; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Monday, October 11, 2021 at 11 am in Hillcrest Cemetery with Pastor Jon Briggs officiating and with family and friends serving as pallbearers. There is no public visitation planned.
