Lewis Frye Eden, age 83 of Springfield, Tennessee passed away at his home with his family by his side on Tuesday, May 24, 2022.
He was born on August 27, 1938 to the late Oscar and Ruth Eden in Orlinda.
He went to work as a young boy and learned early on the value of a hard day’s work. For over fifty years, Mr. Lewis worked as a drywall man, he was known for his smooth finish on all his work. He was gentle and loving to everyone around him. Mr. Lewis loved spending time with his family, fishing, and picking with the grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Lewis is preceded in death by his son, Bobby Ray Eden, and sisters, Jo Ann Shepard, and Betty Ruth Morris.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Dora Ann Eden; children, Brenda Mink, Pamela Jo Jones, Richard (Annette Eden, Teresa Thomas, and Margaret Lam; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and siblings, Ronnie (Emily) Eden, and Deloris Traughber.
A Life Celebration will be held on Friday, May 27th at 12:00 pm with Darrell King officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of service. Burial will follow at Springfield Memorial Gardens with Bronson Lam, Trinity Lam, Terry Jones, Michael Thomas, Jacob Eden, and Jimmy Rich serving as pallbearers.
