OBITUARY: De’Andra “Dee” Long

On October 3, 2021, God called home His daughter, De’andra “Dee” Shana Nicole Long. She was born on February 21, 1999, in Springfield, to Jacqueline Doss and Toby Long.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 9th at 12 noon in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Cedar Hill with her cousins and classmates serving as pallbearers, honorary pallbearers, and flower bearers. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Dee was educated in the Robertson County school system. She graduated in the Springfield High School Class of 2018. Throughout those years, Dee has impacted so many students, teachers, and their lives. De’Andra was loved by everyone she ever came in contact with.

Dee was preceded in death by her grandmother, Joyce (Mama Joyce) Doss, by her great grandparents: L.W. and Dorothy Brewer, by her aunt: Dana Wilson, by her brother: Dontarius Long, and by a host of great aunts and uncles.

Dee leaves to cherish her memory her parents: Jacqueline (Santoria) Doss, Toby (Donna) Long, one sister: Da’Niaya Brown, six brothers: De’Marion Wynn, Nicholas Long, Kobe Terry, Martez Long, Demetrez Barbee, and Daniel Elliott all of Springfield, two nieces: Araya Long and Addalyn Elliott, nephew: Zayne Long, aunts: Carolyn (Fernando) Miles of Springfield, Joycelyn Doss of Clarksville, uncle: Marcus (Yetta) Brewer of Springfield, a host of cousins: Fernandra, Fernando, De’Marcus, De’Andre, Samaree, and RaShad, a special friend that cared and loved her dearly: Addyson Bischoff.

We all loved her dearly, but God loved her best. Dee will truly be missed by all that knew and loved her.
