Betty Lou Walker Byrne, 74, of Springfield, passed from this life on Sunday, October 3, 2021, at The Residence at Alive Hospice in Nashville.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, October 7th at 1:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Tim Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Betty was born February 8, 1947, in Chula Vista, CA to Mary Gwendolynn Mosby Walker and the late Richard Robert Walker. Betty was a homemaker but had also worked in years past at Nashville Photo and the Piggly Wiggly/H.G. Hills in Springfield. She was a member of Walkers United Methodist Church in Goodlettsville. Betty loved gardening and working in her yard and flowers, doing needlepoint, and collecting stuffed animals. In her earlier years, she enjoyed riding horses and was a former Barrel Horseback Racer at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband: Don Byrne, by her son: Emitt Logan Keith, by her daughter: April Lee Quick, and by her sister: Mary Belle Jarrett.
Betty is survived by her mother: Gwen Mosby Walker of Joelton, by her niece: Nicole Davis, by her granddaughter: Rachel Narveaz, by her great-grandchildren: Disafian and Emmylou Narveaz, and by her dear friends: Rick Meadows and Shirley Duffer both of Springfield.
