Bettye Jeanne Canavit, age 66, of White House passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021 at NHC in Hendersonville.
She was born April 15, 1955 in Cuba, IL to William & Mary Toland Aten.
She worked various jobs over the years but spent every summer working as a grain tester for FS Grain Co She considered herself an “old hippee” and she really had an ear for music, listening to a song once and knowing if it would become a hit.
She is preceded in death by her father, William Aten; step-father and mother, Kenneth and Mary Bishop; daughter, Sylvia Michelle “Shelly”; brother, Jimmy; sister, Jan.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth Michael “Buddy” Friday; daughter, Bobbie Jo Friday, both of White House, TN; brothers, Tom Rutledge, Adair, IL and Bill (Connie) Aten, Bushnell, IL; sister, Marie (Gary) McCombs, Iowa; 5 grandchildren, Cody, Brady, Emily, Ellie, and Evie; 2 great-grandchildren, Palmer and Shepherd.
