The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum will offer free admission to active-duty and retired military members on Veterans Day, Wednesday, November 11. More Local Living News
The museum will also extend free admission to up to three immediate family members of eligible military personnel.
From 10 a.m. to noon, visitors can join a special postcard-making activity with Hatch Show Print in the museum’s Taylor Swift Education Center. Participants will create their own printing plates and use a vintage printing press to make postcards thanking active-duty military members.
The postcards will be sent to troops serving overseas through A Million Thanks, a nonprofit organization that supports military members.
Country music has a long history of artists who served in the military, including Country Music Hall of Fame members Johnny Cash, George Jones, Willie Nelson and Elvis Presley.
Active-duty and retired military members will also receive a 10% discount at the Museum Store and Hatch Show Print retail store on Veterans Day.
Reserve free admission tickets by calling 615-416-2001 or by obtaining them at the museum box office on November 11. A valid military ID is required, and advance reservations are recommended.
The free admission offer applies only to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Tours of Hatch Show Print and Historic RCA Studio B are available for an additional fee.
Museum visitors can also take advantage of discounted parking at the Walk of Fame Park Garage, located at 161 Fourth Avenue South, and the SoBro Tower Garage at 210 Third Avenue South. With museum validation, parking is $15 for up to three hours or $25 for up to six hours between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Museum members receive an additional $5 discount.
