OBITUARY: Paula Faye Clifton Tomlin

Paula Clifton Tomlin a true “Southern Belle” was born on November 30th, 1947, to the late Kirby Woodrow & Mary Pauline (“Polly”) Clifton in Nashville, TN. She was a long-time resident of Springfield, TN. She was a loving Wife to her Husband, Harry James Tomlin of 38 years before his passing in 2009, Momma & Grammy who will be missed by all who knew & loved her. She was gently received & welcomed home by her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ on October 26, 2026, at Maple Cottage in Hendersonville, TN after a lengthy illness. She was 78 years old. Ms. Tomlin was a controller / bookkeeper for her father’s Construction & Real Estate Company – Kirby Clifton Construction & Real Estate. She was a member of the Hillcrest Church of Christ, in Springfield, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Gail Clifton. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Amanda Tomlin of Gallatin, TN; grandchildren, Tessa Paige, Harrison Kale, & Deacon James Tomlin; brothers, Ray Clifton of Jacksonville, FL & Joel Clifton of Springfield, TN. A Celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, October 29th at 11AM at Northfield Church in Gallatin, TN with Pastor Tim Dalton officiating. Pallbearers will be Harrison Tomlin – Grandson, Deacon Tomlin – Grandson, Adam Sligh – Great Nephew, Elliott Sligh – Great Nephew, Will Harry – Great Nephew, Ethan Harry – Great Nephew, Ryan Harry – Nephew, & Eric Sligh – Nephew. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29th before her Celebration of Life, from 10AM-11AM at Northfield Church. Burial and Graveside Service will be held at Forrest Lawn Memorial Gardens at 1PM. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in care of Austin Bell Funeral Home.
