The Springfield Gas Department awarded five Robertson County students $6,000 each towards their college tuition during the June 21, 2023 Springfield Board of Mayor & Alderman meeting.
The City of Springfield has been awarding the Springfield Gas Department Scholarship to Robertson County students since 2012.
The following scholarship recipients were recognized during the meeting:
- Mason Dorris, a graduate of Springfield High School, plans to attend the University of Tennessee and major in Business.
- Carson Drake, a graduate of Jo Byrns High School, plans to attend the University of Tennessee at Martin and major in Agricultural Engineering.
- Kyle Saleman, a graduate of East Robertson High School, plans to attend Tennessee Tech and major in Accounting.
- Lauryn Burns, a graduate of South Haven High School, plans to attend Austin Peay State University and major in Speech Language Pathology.
- Kristin Gregory, a graduate of Greenbrier High School, plans to attend Trevecca Nazarene University and major in Church and Community Ministry.
