Income-eligible Springfield Electric customers can apply for free home energy upgrades through the TVA Home Uplift program, which provides an average of $10,000 in improvements per participating home.
The program helps eligible households improve energy efficiency through upgrades such as new or repaired heating and air conditioning units, attic and wall insulation, appliances and electric water heaters.
Springfield Electric Department is currently accepting applications for the program.
