On May 2nd, 2022 the Lord called Will Freeman Oliver home.

Born October 11, 1942 in Springfield, TN Mr. Oliver was a lifelong resident of the best place on Earth – Robertson County.

He was a God loving man who spent his life worshipping and following in the teachings of Jesus Christ. He was devoted to his family. He loved his wife Dianne with all his heart and his children and grandchildren were his pride and joy.

Mr. Oliver always had a positive attitude even in the most difficult of times. No matter the circumstances, it was always going to be ok, the Lord has a plan. He took immense pride in a hard day’s work and was a life long farmer, a member of the TN National Guard, and spent 53 years serving the residents of Tennessee as a Maintenance Engineer for TDOT. He was patient, giving, loving, and the perfect example of a great man.

He is preceded in death by his loving mother and father Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Oliver, the love of his life Dianne Fletcher Oliver, and a special friend Martha Hewell.

He is survived by his son Matthew Will Oliver (Becca), his daughter Amanda Berger (Michael), granddaughter Alexis Owens, grandson Matthew Blake Oliver, his brother-in-law John R. Fletcher, Jr. (Dawn), and his little princess dog Mia.

The family would like to express our appreciation and efforts made by Dr. Raymond Craciun and the entire CCU nursing staff at Northcrest Medical Center.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 1:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Hollis officiating. Burial will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with David Paul Benton, John R. Fletcher, Jr., Michael Berger, Matthew Oliver, Robert Nicholson, and Greg Worley serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 4 until 8 PM and Saturday from 11 AM until the hour of service.

The family request, if so desired, for memorial contributions to be made to Good Springs Freewill Baptist Church. All donations can be sent c/o Robertson County Funeral Home.
