Stephen Reynolds “Steve” Eden, 72, of Springfield, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at his home.
Steve was born May 26, 1951, in Springfield, to the late Joseph Reynolds Eden and Mary Kathleen “Katherine” Jones Eden.
He was a graduate of Springfield High School Class of 1970. Steve worked 20 years for Oscar Mayer, and then worked for the Ashland City Public Works Water and Sewer Department, and retired with 20 years of service. More than anything, Steve loved being a farmer, working with tobacco, dairy cows, and cattle. He was of the Baptist faith, and enjoyed bird hunting, fishing, and his TN Vols.
Steve is survived by his wife of 52 years: Rosemary Lee Eden of Springfield, by his children: Stephen Brian (Leetia) Eden of Springfield, Stephanie Leane (Adam) Clouse of Greenbrier, Christy Eden of Greenbrier, and Jared Michael (Tina) Eden of Springfield, by his brother: Larry (Jane) Eden of Springfield, and by his 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 26th at 1:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Freeman officiating. Interment will follow in the Springfield Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. https://www.robertsoncountyfuneralhome.com
