Sandra Elaine Highsmith Roby, age 69, of Greenbrier, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2024 at her home.
Mrs. Roby was born September 25, 1954 in Springfield, TN to the late James Hershel “J.H.” and Theresa Matthews Highsmith.
She was a member of the Greenbrier United Methodist Church and was a teacher at Krisle Elementary School, at Coopertown Elementary School and at Greenbrier. Mrs. Roby also taught at U.T. Knoxville.
Mrs. Roby is survived by her husband of 50 years, James “Jim” Roby, Jr.; son, James O. Roby; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Beau Morris of Greenbrier; brother and sisters-in-law, Rick and Lex Highsmith of Springfield, Gelinda Roby and Mary Loney; and grandchildren, Todd Booth, Noah Curtis, and Sophia Roby.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at 10 am in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Greenbrier with Brother Jason Wilkerson and Brother David Evans officiating. Burial will follow in the Springfield Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, February 5, 2024 from 4-8 pm and again on Tuesday, February 6th from 9 am until the hour of service at 10 am.
