Sherry Addison Corlew, born May 17, 1957, passed away on July 15, 2024.
Sherry was born and raised in Robertson County, Tennessee.
Sherry spent her childhood in Greenbrier where she was a 1975 graduate of Greenbrier High School. She attended Austin Peay University in Clarksville, Tennessee where she was a majorette and member of Chi Omega women’s fraternity.
She moved back to Robertson County where she met the love of her life, William “Buddy” Corlew. They married on November 10, 1978, and had two children, Courtney Lynne, and Christopher Jack. She worked for both Greenbrier City Hall and Robertson County General Sessions Court until retirement. She was a member of Springfield First United Methodist Church.
Sherry loved her family and friends intensely. She was a voracious reader, an avid walker, and genuinely loved to have fun, whether chaperoning her children’s show choir trips or on vacations to the beach.
She is preceded in death by her father, John L. Addison; mother, Betty Addison Cunningham; brother and sister-in-law, John Randall, and Debbie Cole Addison; brother, Ricky Dale Addison; stepfather, John Bell Cunningham; mother and father-in-law, Ella Mai and Gaither Jack Corlew; and son-in-law, Aaron Wade Smith.
Sherry is survived by her husband, Buddy and her two children, Courtney and Chris: aunts, uncles, step-siblings, as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will take place at Springfield First United Methodist Church on Monday, July 29, 2024, at 12:00 Noon in the main sanctuary. Receiving of friends and family will begin at 11:00 A.M. and again following the service. https://www.robertsoncountyfuneralhome.com
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sherry’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Foundation or Springfield First United Methodist Church.
