Rosie Lee (Dorris) Holt, age 92 of Springfield, passed from this life on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at NHC Healthcare in Springfield.
Mrs. Holt was born June 17, 1930 in Springfield to the late Luther and Bessie May Eidson Dorris.
She was a member of South Haven Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She enjoyed watching Atlanta Braves baseball, watching birds, and working with her flowers. She also enjoyed riding motorcycles with her late husband. The most important thing to her was her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Holt, Sr. and her daughter, Tonya Holt.
Mrs. Rosie is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Marvin and Cheryl Holt, Jr. and Randy and Lucy Holt, all of Springfield; grandchildren, Angela Holt, Andrea Young, Lesley Haun, Amy Holt, Jessica Holt, Stephanie Gamble, and Josh Smith; 9 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be conducted Thursday, September 1, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Pastor Dr. Frank Gagliano officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until the hour of service. Burial of cremains will be held at a later date in Elmwood Cemetery.
