Nancy Lee Resler, age 89 of Springfield, TN and formerly of Mayfield, KY, passed from this life on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Morningside of Springfield.
Visitation with the family will be conducted Friday, December 17, 2021 from 4 until 7 PM with a memorial service to follow at 7:00 PM at Springfield Baptist Church at the courtyard entrance on Main street.
Mrs. Resler was born August 15, 1932 in Wakarusa, IN to the late Donald and Katherine Darkwood Rohrer. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Mayfield, KY where she taught Sunday School for several years and was a retired English Teacher at Mayfield High School. She loved teaching and was a big supporter of the Mayfield Cardinals. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and she enjoyed antiques.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, A.E. “Gene: Resler, and her sisters, Maxine Middleton and Rebecca Voigt.
She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Melissa and Anson Woodall of Cedar Hill and Ramona Resler of Tampa, FL; grandchildren Mikel (Tyra) Woodall and Austin (Emikate) Woodall; great-grandchild, Ezykiel “Zyk” Woodall; a sister-in-law, Lois Resler, and several nieces and nephews.
The family request, if so desired, for memorial contributions to be made to First United Methodist Church in Mayfield, KY. All donations can be sent c/o Robertson County Funeral Home.
