Michael Lee Yarlett Sr, age 63 of Cross Plains, passed away Monday, August 16, 2021 at his home. He was born April 14, 1958 in Ogden, UT to Herbert John & Virginia Hall Yarlett.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines and was a member of Bellevue Masonic Lodge #716, where he had served as past master. He retired as a deputy with the Davidson County Sheriff’s Department, after 15 years of service.
He is preceded in death by his father, Herbert John Yarlett; step-father, Robert Wadsworth; brother, William “Bill” Yarlett.
Mr. Yarlett is survived by his loving wife, Susan Yarlett, Cross Plains, TN; mother, Virginia Wadsworth, Crossville, TN; sons, Michael (Christy) Yarlett, Smyrna, TN, Tech Sgt Patrick (Grace) Yarlett, Guam, and Brandon (Amanda) Bradford, Lebanon, TN; step-daughter, Christine (Robert) Jones, Nashville, TN; brother, Hubert John Yarlett, Jr., San Francisco, CA; step-sister, Laura Weinberg, Richmond, VA; 4 grandchildren, Gino, Collin, Ollie, and Rockwell.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service and Masonic Service will be conducted at 7 pm on Thursday, August 26, 2021 in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House, with Rev. Mary Polk officiating. Visitation with the family is planned for Thursday, August 26, 2021 5-7 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow on Friday, August 27, 2021 at 2 pm at Middle Tennessee Veteran’s Cemetery with military honors.
