Margaret Elizabeth Redferrin, age 85 of White House went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Signature Health Care in Portland.
She was born on the Jernigan Farm in the Clearview Community on June 1, 1936 to William and Maggie Pearson Mink.
She worked as a master seamstress for many years, doing alternations for many in the White House and surrounding communities. She enjoyed gardening, home canning and was an extremely good cook. She was a member of White House Church of Christ, where she took an active role teaching ladies Sunday School, VBS, and working and volunteering in any area where she was needed.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, John Mink; two sisters, Alice Cash and Ruby Sims.
She is survived by her loving husband of 57-1/2 years, Woodard Redferrin, White House, TN; sons, Woody (Pamala) Redferrin, Hendersonville, TN and Mark (April) Redferrin, White House, TN; daughter, Lynn (Charlie) Holt, Murfreesboro, TN; sister, Linda (Ralph) Seabolt, Cross Plains, TN; 5 grandchildren, Abbey Redferrin, Hannah Collins, Allie Collins, Dillon Holt, and Austin Holt; 1 great-grandchild, Oliver Holt.
Funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 1 pm in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House with Pastor Gary Mink officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Randy Seabolt, Ricky Seabolt, Chris Seabolt, Willie Whitson, Shaun Mink, and Joel Pearson serving as pallbearers. Visitation is planned for Saturday, September 11, 2021 10 am until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
