Linda Ann Smiley Eidson, age 75 of Greenbrier passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side.

Linda was born in Nashville on October 23, 1946 to the late Grady Collins and Annie Mae Anderson Smiley.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, James Collins Smiley.

She is survived by her husband, James Richard Eidson of Greenbrier; children, Maria (Ricky) Trapp of Greenbrier, James (Becky) Eidson of Springfield, Jennifer Pennington of Cross Plains; brothers, Jerry (Betty) Smiley of Springfield, Gary Smiley of CO; sister, Dorothy Brewer of Springfield; grandchildren, Lauren Trapp, Logan Trapp, Madison Eidson, Mason Eidson, Reese Pennington, Katie Pennington, and Allye Pennington.

She was a homemaker and loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren. She made it a point to attend any activity they were involved in. She was an East Robertson Sports fan where her grandchildren played ball. She was known as Nanny to her grandchildren and many others. She loved cooking for her family and others. She was known for her infectious smile and attitude that attracted others to her. She loved holidays, family gatherings, cooking, flowers and was a huge TN Volunteer fan.

Funeral Services will be 2 PM on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Greenbrier with Bro. Rob Caton officiating. Burial will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Logan Trapp, Mason Eidson, Zack Vaughan, Tommy Hudgens, Jake Resha, Kerry Todd, and Jimmy Hamill serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 4 pm to 8 pm on Tuesday, March 8th, and from 12 pm until hour of service at the funeral home on Wednesday.
