Jimmy Dale Russell, age 79 of Cross Plains passed away Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.
He was born March 1, 1945 in Gallatin, TN to Jimmy Bruce & Lunolia Martin Russell.
He retired from the maintenance department at DuPont with 30+ years of service. Mr. Russell enjoyed farming in his younger years, traveling, going to Estate sales and yard sales, tinkering with a booth at the antique mall and also had built several houses from the ground up. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Judy McPartland and Janet Hosale.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Rebecca Russell; sons, Terry Allen (Angela) Russell and Jimmy Dale (Christy) Russell, all of Cross Plains, TN; brothers, Earl Russell, Portland, TN and Bruce Russell, Hendersonville, TN; sister, Denise McCullough, Hendersonville, TN; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, September 20, 2024 at 6 pm in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House.
