James Hoyt Peters, age 65, of Springfield, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2023 at TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.
Mr. Peters was born on April 6, 1958 in Dothan, AL to the late Treadwell and Mavis Mann Peters.
He was a jack of all trades, a singer/songwriter, a luthier (guitar builder), and a school bus driver for Robertson County Schools.
He is survived by his wife of 6 years, Karen Peters; daughter, Jamie F. Peters-Rhodes; stepsons, Cody Brooks and Carson (Bonnie) Brooks; stepdaughters, Francie (Eric) Painter, Jackie Beals and her partner Ashley Deschenes, and Lindsey (Jarrod) Grist; 16 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers, Jerry Peters, Barry Peters, and Jason Peters; and sisters, Rita Marlow, and Sandy (Curtis) Mullins.
Mr. Peters’ wishes were to be cremated and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
