Jackie-Martin-Gower

Jackie Martin Gower passed away peacefully on September 4th, 2024, surrounded by loved ones.

Known for his big heart and generous spirit, he was the kind of man who could fix anything and would do anything for anyone, always willing to lend a hand. His playful, joyful nature brought smiles to all who knew him, and his presence will be deeply missed.

He adored his wife, to whom he was married for 64 years, and he cherished every moment spent with his children and grandchildren, who were the light of his life. His love for his family was unmatched, and he always put them first.

A true lover of life, Jackie had a passion for dogs, drag racing, music, and vintage cars. Whether tinkering under the hood or watching a race, he found great joy in these activities. He worked at Wilson Sporting Goods for 46 years, during which his dedication and hard work left a lasting impression on all who worked with him.

Jackie leaves behind his beloved wife of 64 years, Mary Lucille Gower; children, Regina Murphey, Lisa (Mike Cobb) Dailey, Brandon (Amber) Gower, and Jackie W. Gower; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, T.J. (Tiffani) Murphey, Ashley (Tim) Allison, D.J. Dailey, Chris (Miranda) Dailey, Amanda Gower, Jack Gower, Paisley Murphey, Rhett Murphey, Travis Allison, Whitley Dailey, Keltin Faught, Hallie Dailey, Adeline Dailey, River Dailey, Anthony Pendarvis, and Josh Gower.

He also leaves behind siblings George (Carol) Gower, James Larry Gower, and Sheila (John) Hudson.
