Jack Wade Crafton, age 89 of White House passed away Monday, November 18, 2024 at his home.
He was born September 17, 1935 in White House, TN to James B. & Flora Ivy Camplin Crafton.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was retired from the Ford Glass Plant with 44 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, farming, vegetable gardening, gambling, going to Vegas and driving anything with wheels, especially keeping his lawn mowed to perfection. But more than anything, he loved his home and his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Barbara Crafton; infant daughter, Vickie Lynn Crafton; sister, Mildred Sprouse.
He is survived by his son, Brett Wade (Melanie) Crafton, Springfield, TN; daughter, Tracy Crafton, White House, TN; 4 grandchildren, Brittany (Jeromi) Critikos, Dallas Crafton, Tyler Crafton and Madison Crafton.
Funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 11 AM in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House with Pastor Paul Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery with military honors and with Paul Thompson, Jeromi Critikos, Dale Sprouse, Bill Thompson, Dallas Crafton and Tyler Crafton serving as pallbearers. Visitation is planned for Friday, November 22, 2024 4-8 PM and Saturday, November 23, 2024 10 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
