Gladys Christine (Davidson) Wilson

Gladys Christine Davidson Wilson, 83, of the Martins Chapel community in Springfield, passed from this life on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at the home of her daughter.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 14th at 1:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Reverend Kenny Hix officiating. Interment will follow in the Martins Chapel Cemetery with Tim Moulton, Eddie Ray Wooden, Darryl Davidson, Elmer Davidson, Tim Davidson, and Randy Wilson serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Kaul Mitchell Wilson, Darrell Wes Wilson, and Bill Estes. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Wilson was born March 17, 1938, in Ashland City to the late Woods and Bessie Krantz Davidson.

She was retired from Acme Boot and was a member of Martins Chapel United Methodist Church. Mrs. Wilson loved gardening, singing, listening to bluegrass music, reading, shopping, going to Gatlinburg each November with Penelope and Kelly, and always spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: John Leath Wilson, and by her siblings: Frances Davidson Hampton, Earl, Adrain, Honey, Elton, and Ray Davidson.

Mrs. Wilson is survived by her daughter: Penelope Lynn Wilson Wilburn and husband Steve of Springfield, by her sister: Martha Perry and husband Owen of Ashland City, by her grandson: Joshua Leath Appleton and wife Ashlee, by her great-grandchildren: Emma Kate, Ellie Reese, and Walker Leath Appleton, and by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
