Cecil Eugene Fry, age 78 of Cross Plains passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at NorthCrest Medical Center in Springfield.
He was born November 3, 1942 in Sumner County, TN to Homer & Inez Reagan Fry.
He worked as a Brick and Rock Mason and was very gifted in his work, building many houses in White House and the surrounding areas. He was the owner of Cecil’s Record Shop. He also attended Goodlettsville United Pentecostal Church.
Mr. Fry was a wonderful father, husband, brother, and grandfather and did his best to provide for all of the needs of his family. The children especially remember him making Christmas a special time for their family.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Tommy Johnson.
He is survived by his wife of 58-1/2 years, Carolyn Fry, Cross Plains, TN; daughters, Cecilia Roberts, Cross Plains, TN and Tammy Johnson, Cottontown, TN; brothers, Dale Fry and Bobby Fry, both of Cross Plains, TN and Glenn Fry, Greenbrier, TN; 3 grandchildren, Nikki Roberts, Amanda London, and Anthony Wayne Tompkins; 1 great-grandchild, Shane Cecil Tompkins.
Due to Covid-19, a private family visitation and graveside service and interment will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery with Bro. Tim Zuniga and Bro. Dan Russell officiating.
