Alice Evelyn Wetton Stamper, 94, of Springfield, Tennessee passed from this life on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at her home.
Mrs. Stamper was born November 19, 1927, in Big Rock, to the late John Eric and Idella Griffin Wetton.
She was a graduate of Elkton High School. Mrs. Stamper retired from the Springfield Wal-Mart with 15 years of service, where she primarily worked in the Fabric’s department. She was a member of Eastland Heights Baptist Church and the Red Hat Society. Mrs. Stamper enjoyed sewing, cross stitching, traveling, and she volunteered at Cheatham Park School helping children improve their reading skills.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Ira Buel Stamper, by her grandchildren: Stacey Crawford, Annette Wyatt, and Joshua Stamper, and by 6 siblings.
Mrs. Stamper is survived by her daughters: Alicia Jackson of Springfield, Pamela Wilson and husband Robert of Cedar Hill, by her sons: Stanley Stamper and wife Elizabeth of Clarksville, Chris Stamper and wife Robin Renee of Calvert City, KY, by her brother: Bruce Wetton of Guthrie, KY, and by her 7 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, June 7th at 11:00 a.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Reverend Jerry Heflin officiating. Interment will follow in the Springfield Memorial Gardens with Reverend Eric Drake officiating. Pallbearers will be Jared Coppage, Logan Coppage, Seth Brock, Garrett Brock, Leland Taylor, and Kenneth Katzenmeyer. The family will receive friends on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. https://www.robertsoncountyfuneralhome.com
