Charlotte (Sneed) Belt, of Springfield, passed from this life on Friday, June 3, 2022, at NHC Healthcare in Springfield.
Charlotte was born March 20, 1936, in Orlinda, to the late Robert and Hazel Smith Sneed.
She was a graduate of East Robertson High School and of Draughon’s Business College. Charlotte was a retired clerk with the Robertson County Court Clerk’s office and was a very active member of the Williams Chapel Baptist Church. She loved quilting, fishing, antiques, flower gardening, and was an avid shopper.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Jimmy L. Belt, her siblings: Bobby Sneed, Bill Sneed, Roger Dale Sneed, Sue Freeman, Betty Trotter, and Sherry Sneed, by her special maternal aunt: Zella Mae Smith, and by her son-in-law: Jay Guinn Fuqua.
Charlotte is survived by her daughters: Pamela Belt Neal of White House and Cindy Belt Fuqua of Springfield, by her grandchildren: Jacob Belt (Jordan) Fuqua, Jayda Fuqua (Justin) Tubbs, and Emily Neal (Caleb) Hood, by her great-grandchildren: Jessa Guinn Tubbs, Jett Ralston Fuqua, Jaylen Barnett, and Annie Grace Hood, by her brothers and sisters-in-law: R.L. Sneed of Bowling Green, KY, Ricky and Linda Sneed of Springfield, and Wanda Sneed of Portland, and by her sisters and brother-in-law: Diane and Cordell Roberts of Franklin, KY and Tina Pitt of Orlinda.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, June 7th at 3:00 p.m. at the Williams Chapel Baptist Church with Reverend Rick Robinson and her grandson, Jacob Fuqua, officiating. Interment will follow in the Williams Chapel Cemetery with Justin Tubbs, Jacob Fuqua, Caleb Hood, Charlie Hanner, Dennis Wright, Buddy Sneed, Sammy Justice, and Jimmy Underwood serving as pallbearers.
