An investigation is underway after a woman was fatally stabbed in a Springfield apartment on June 1, 2023, according to WSMV.
Springfield Police responded to the incident around 6:40 p.m. on 17th Street Apartment Homes on the 2500 block of 17th Avenue where they found an unresponsive woman.
The woman was taken to TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center where she later died from her injuries.
Police took one suspect into custody at the scene.
Springfield Police believe the woman and the suspect may have been in a relationship.
This incident remains under investigation.
