Tropical Storm Fred Makes Landfall

This afternoon, Tropical Storm Fred made its way into the Gulf and right over the Florida panhandle. Fred went back and forth between a Tropical Depression and Storm, but as it creeped close to the Florida Panhandle, it gained speed and made landfall with sustained speeds of 65 mph.

The National Hurricane Center is not only tracking Tropical Storm Fred, but the two other tropical events that have formed right behind Fred. Now, there is Tropical Depression Grace and Tropical Storm Henri that was just named a short time ago.

These storms will continue to be tracked and cause lots of rain and flooding. Tropical Depression Grace brought heavy rainfall to the Dominican Republic and Haiti, that just suffered from a major 7.2 earthquake.
