The Liberty Mutual Music City Bowl has named Tennessee Titans offensive tackle JC Latham as its Youth Football Program Ambassador. As part of the initiative, Latham will visit local youth football teams and help promote the sport across Tennessee.

Since launching in 2003, the Music City Bowl Youth Football Program has supported more than 50 leagues throughout the region and contributed over $250,000 to youth football initiatives. More Sports News

“We are honored to welcome Titans tackle and former Alabama star, JC Latham, as he pursues this inspirational work pouring into youth football players,” said Scott Ramsey, president and CEO of the Music City Bowl in a release. “Latham’s dedication to strength and excellence on and off the field aligns perfectly with the Youth Football Program’s work in the community, and we are thrilled to kick off this partnership together.”

The Titans selected Latham seventh overall in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Before joining Tennessee, he played three seasons at the University of Alabama, appeared in 41 games, and earned second-team All-American and first-team All-SEC honors. During his rookie season with the Titans, Latham started every game at left tackle, becoming the fourth rookie offensive lineman in franchise history since 1999 to do so.

“I am honored to serve as this year’s Liberty Mutual Music City Bowl Youth Football Program Ambassador,” said Latham. “Youth football played such a crucial role in my journey, helping shape me not only as a football player but also as a person. I’m excited for the opportunity to give back to the game that has given me so much and to pour my energy and passion into inspiring and supporting the next generation of student-athletes.”

This year, the program will support more than 20,000 young athletes across 19 leagues and 407 teams, providing approximately $40,000 in donations and 25,000 mouthguards.

Funding helps youth leagues purchase and repair equipment, provide uniforms, maintain facilities, cover officiating costs and establish new programs. Participating leagues also receive official Music City Bowl helmet stickers, while championship-winning teams earn complimentary game tickets for players and coaches.
Delta Dental of Tennessee continues its partnership with the program by providing mouthguards to young athletes. Together, Delta Dental and the Music City Bowl have distributed more than 750,000 mouthguards statewide.
