Work is complete on the latest addition to the Springfield Greenway at the Memorial Boulevard overpass: a new art installation crafted by Tennessee artist Tracee Badway.
The colorful mural design incorporates state symbols, agricultural components, landscape, points of interest in the city, and our city’s date of incorporation. This beautification project is made possible in part by a Tennessee Arts Commission Rural Arts Project Support (RAPS) grant in the amount of $11,300 and a Tennessee Department of Tourist Development Marketing Grant in the amount of $8,350.
Artist Tracee Badway hosted a Community Paint Day on April 21, where she was joined by the public to complete work on the mural as a community.
