The City of Springfield is bringing free horse-drawn carriage rides to its charming historic downtown square this holiday season.
In conjunction with the opening weekend for Springfield’s annual holiday light display, Winter Wonderland, the city is inviting visitors to enjoy a free horse-drawn carriage ride through our historic town square. Carriage rides will take place on December 8 and 9, 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., and December 10, 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. and will operate on a first-come, first-served basis.
“Annually for more than 20 years, thousands of families have made their way to Springfield to experience the holiday season magic at Winter Wonderland,” says Springfield Tourism Coordinator Ace Timmermeier. “We’re thrilled to facilitate an opportunity for families to continue their experience on our historic Springfield Town Square and encourage them to shop, dine, and discover local businesses.”
This event is made possible by sponsors including, Valor Mortgage, Bluegrass Realty & Auction, RE/Max 1st Choice, RE/Max 1st Choice Agent Demetria White, and RE/Max 1st Choice Agent Jami Crecelius.
