The City of Springfield is partnering with the Historic Springfield Event Coordinators to bring its free Sunset Concert Series to downtown Springfield as part of First Friday Night Markets.
The final concert of the series will take place on October 7, 2022, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and will feature a performance by local band, The Fortunate Sons featuring Buzzy Poole & Dewayne Bellar. The group will bring classic rock and roll, country, and R&B to the stage.
“I knew moving the concerts to the square six years ago would be a success,” said Springfield Parks and Recreation Director Terry Martin. “I never imagined the impact the partnership with the Historic Springfield Event Coordinators’ First Friday Night Market would have on this event. We are thankful for them and to everyone who played a role in the success of this event and we look forward to seeing everyone next year!”
First Friday Night Markets is a free, family event series that features food trucks, a kid’s zone, classic car cruise-ins, a farmer’s market, and shopping with local artisans and downtown merchants. This event is held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on the first Friday of each month from May to October.
