SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. – Springfield Police officers responded to 1002 Brooklyn Drive around 11:11 p.m. Saturday, September 11, after receiving a possible stabbing report.
Upon arrival, officers encountered Shirley Young inside the residence. The officers then discovered one deceased male with possible stab wounds. The victim has been identified as 55-year-old male Timothy Shannon of Springfield, Tennessee, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives with the Springfield Police Department arrested a 53-year-old female, Shirley Young of Springfield, Tennessee, and charged her with Criminal Homicide in connection with the death of Mr. Shannon. She was transported by Springfield Police Department officers and booked into the Robertson County Detention Facility with a $500,000 bond.
