Springfield Police Chief Jason Head has been sworn in as vice president of the Tennessee Association of Chiefs of Police.
Head took the oath of office during the organization’s 56th annual banquet on July 23 in Knoxville.
“It is a great honor to serve alongside many talented men and women in this profession of public safety,” Head said. “I will continue to support TACP in this leadership role as we endeavor to provide guidance and training to Tennessee’s top law enforcement leaders.”
The Tennessee Association of Chiefs of Police is made up of law enforcement leaders from across the state and focuses on advancing professional standards, leadership, training, and best practices.
Head has been a member of the association for more than eight years and has served on its board of directors for the past six. He has worked for the Springfield Police Department for 20 years and has served as police chief for the past eight years.
