Robertson Co. School District Buses Now Have Internet Access

209

Robertson County Schools has now placed Wi-Fi capabilities in all district school buses.

The initiative, spearheaded by Technology Supervisor James Marshall, has now made it possible for students to access the internet while traveling on any district school bus.

This capability, said Marshall, allows students with slow or no internet coverage at home to access the web for schoolwork and homework needs. The same filters that exist with all RCS online access are present, keeping access safe.

The program is valued at approximately $500,000 for equipment, installation, and service.

That cost was met through a grant of federal money at no direct cost to Robertson County residents.
