Wendell Everette Carver, age 87, of Springfield, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at his home at Springfield Heights.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, September 23, 2021 at 12pm in the Springfield Memorial Gardens with Pastor Stephen Head officiating. Burial will follow with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Private visitation will be held at the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield.
Mr. Carver was born September 11, 1934 in Robertson County to the late Thomas and Bessie Merideth Carver. He worked as the Manager in the Meat Department at H.G. Hills.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Carver is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Head Carver; his sister, Pauline Adcock; and his half-sister, Edna.
Mr. Carver is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Michael Carver and Mark and wife, Vicki Carver; daughter and son-in-law, Melinda and husband, Lloyd Huang; sister, Ruth McClard; grandchildren, Matthew Carver, Joshua Carver, and Michael Huang; and great-grandchildren, Colton Carver, Camber Carver, Matthew Carver, and Sean Carver.
