Thomas Moore Williams, 85, of Springfield, passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Morningside of Springfield.

Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, September 15th at 11:00 a.m. in the Williams Chapel Cemetery with Reverend Keith Wilson officiating. Pallbearers will be Bryant Hallman, Kenneth Spivey, Carter Spivey, Joe Williams, Jr., Jim Sanders, and Corey Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be J.T. Honeycutt and J.L. Pearson. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at the graveside service.

Mr. Williams was born January 1, 1936, in Robertson County to the late X.R. and Birdie Honeycutt Williams. He was a retired farmer. Mr. Williams was a member of Williams Chapel Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and former chairman of the deacons. He loved fishing, hunting, and football, especially the Tennessee Vols and Tennessee Titans.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Susie Pearson Williams, who died in May of 2021, by his son: Terry Williams, and by several siblings.

Mr. Williams is survived by his son and daughter-in-law: Larry and Nancy Williams of Springfield, by his brother and sister-in-law: Joe and Glenda Williams of Springfield, by his sisters: Norma Fowler of Nevada and Mary Sommerville of Portland, by his grandchildren: Amanda Spivey and her husband Kenneth, and Corey Williams, and by five great-grandchildren
