Thomas Anthony “Tony” Tresner, age 64 of Springfield, passed from this life on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at his home.

Tony was born November 5, 1958 in Nashville to the late Wilbur M. and Ivy A. Atwood Tresner.

He was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and was employed in gas utility construction for the last 23 years with J.B. Gibbs & Sons Construction. Prior to that, he worked for 17 years for King Pipeline. He loved his wife and his entire family and his dogs Lisa and Scratch. He was an avid Vanderbilt fan and enjoyed fishing and NASCAR.

Surviving him are his wife, Gina Belcher Tresner of Springfield; daughters, Amanda (Brandon) Ford of Cedar Hill and April Coleman of Springfield; grandchildren, Annabelle Rose Toutges (Jordan Rose) and Anthony Ford; brother, Randy (Lois) Tresner of Lebanon; and sisters, Rhonda (David) Nash of Mt. Juliet, Lisa Tresner of Gallatin, and Tracey Kaylor of Gallatin.

Funeral Mass will be conducted Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Father Patrick Fitzsimons serving as celebrant. Burial will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Brandon Ford, Anthony Ford, Randall Tresner, Chris Hardey, Adam Nash, and Jordan Rose serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Robertson County Funeral Home Tuesday from 4 until 8 PM and Wednesday from 10 AM until 12:30 PM.

The family request, if so desired, for memorial contributions to be made to the American Cancer Society. All donations can be sent c/o Robertson County Funeral Home.
