Mr. Rask was born on March 13, 1951 in Alliance, Nebraska to the late Glen & Betty Gilliam Rask. Steven and his wife Pamela met in high school and after marrying were blessed with one son and four daughters. They started a family business, Gardner’s Supply in Bakersfield, California. He was chapter president of the FFA and worked with the youth in FFA and 4H. Their lives changed when they both asked Jesus in to their hearts. From that moment on God began a good work in Steven’s life. It was his desire for him to serve in men’s ministries. He loved to teach God’s word and sing His praises with his family. His life reflected one of his favorite songs, Amazing Grace; through many dangers, toils, and snares, I have already come, we’ve no less days to sing God’s praise as when we first begun. He was a member of First Baptist Joelton.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Christopher “Bubba” Rask, daughters, Joanna Knobloch and Sarah Rask, grandson, Caleb Johnson; and sisters, Patty Rask and Susan Sherlock.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Pamela Rask; daughters, Corrie Rask and Hannah (Tommy) Swindle; grandchildren, Noah Johnson, Grace Johnson, Sarah Swindle, and Norah Swindle; brothers, Glen (Roberta) Rask and Michael (Brenda) Rask; sisters, Laurel Cox and Fritzi (Ricky) Hines.

If so desired, memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Steven’s memory to Samaritan’s Purse, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607 or Men’s Ministry Team at First Baptist Joelton, 7140 Whites Creek Pike, Joelton Tn 37080.
