Shirley Gray Moore Springman, age 89 of Springfield, passed from this life on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at her home.
Mrs. Shirley was born February 23, 1935 in Bethpage to the late Grover Cleveland and Fannie Harris Templeton.
She was a member of North Springfield Baptist Church and loved her church family dearly. She retired from Acme Boot and was a member of Union #707. She loved to be with her family, go dancing, and just have fun.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, J.D. Moore; daughter, Melody Gray; brother, Bernice Templeton; and sister, Wilma Durham. Surviving her are her husband, Curt Springman of Springfield; nephew, Richard (Shirley) Tuttle of Gallatin; nieces, Patricia Newby of Gallatin and Becky (Billy) LeFever of Hendersonville; and several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, November 17, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Sharon Cemetery with Dewayne Counce, Zayne Watson, Caleb Allen, Ashlee O’Conner, Adam O’Conner, and Rylan Watson serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Bubba Watson and Tim Allen. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 11 AM until the time of service.
The family requests, if so desired, for memorial contributions to be made to North Springfield Baptist Church Building Fund. All donations may be sent c/o Robertson County Funeral Home.
