Sherry J. Hall

Sherry Jane (Wooden) Hall passed away on January 14, 2022, at the age of 68 years old.

She was born on April 29, 1953, in Logan County, Kentucky to WWII veteran, Arthur Eugene Wooden, and his wife, Dorothy Louise (Rainwater) Wooden.

She and her family moved to the Adams community in 1963 where she attended Bell School and graduated from Jo Byrns High School in 1971. Sherry attended Austin Peay State University and received a bachelor’s degree in Education, as well as a master’s degree in Administration and Supervision. “Ms. Hall” served Robertson County Schools as a teacher and an administrator for over 40 years. She proudly taught generations of families from the Adams and Cedar Hill communities at Jo Byrns and beyond as a middle school teacher in Springfield, an educator for homebound students, and as an instructor for those seeking to earn their GED.

She remained engaged in her community after her retirement and volunteered her time in various ways. Sherry was a member of Red River Baptist Church in Adams, TN for many years. Although she enjoyed many hobbies, she was never happier than when she was sitting on her carport with her family and dogs watching the skies change colors and the corn and wheat grow. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and Gigi.

She is preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter, Johanna Hope
Apple.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Jay Wesley Hall of Adams, TN; daughter, Nikki Deason Apple (Jason) of Ashland City, TN; sister, Pattie Farmer of Springfield, TN; nephew Brandon (Kendra) Farmer of Cedar Hill, TN; grandchildren, Samuel Thomas Apple and Olivia Ray Apple; and numerous other family and friends.

The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider donating to their local school libraries and Little Free Libraries. Sherry loved reading and gifting books to her friends and family.

A private family burial will take place at Bellwood Cemetery in Adams, Tennessee.
