Ruth Louise Burney, age 75, of Springfield, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Morningside Assisted Living in Springfield.
Mrs. Burney was born June 12, 1947 in Springfield to the late Douglas Brown and Mona Noreen Pigg Binkley.
She was a Computer Technologist with Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) for many years.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Burney was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Burney; brothers, Joe Binkley, Michael Binkley and Ben Binkley; and a sister, Patty Binkley.
She is survived by her son, Jamie (Jessica) Burney; daughter, Katy (Jamie) Barnhart; 3 grandchildren, Cody Burney, Tristin Cox, and Cameron Barnhart; 1 great-grandson, Thomas Cox; and a sister, Kathryn Binkley.
The family will have a Celebration of Life Gathering of Friends from 1-5 pm Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield.
