Ronnie Ray Koonce, age 68 of Greenbrier passed away Monday, January 5, 2026 at TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center. Funeral Services will be held at 2pm, Saturday January 10th, 2026 in the Chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Greenbrier. The family will receive friends 10am until the time of service on Saturday.
Ronnie was born October 18, 1957 in Nashville, TN to the late William Herschell and Joyce Yarborugh Koonce.
He was a Master of Fabrication in the Racing Industry. He loved racing, racing and racing. He did mechanical work for various racing personalities and was building a “Talladega bus” to drive to the races.
He is survived by his wife, Tammy Blanton Koonce; sons, Justin (Melisa) Binkley, Larry DeSheles; daughters, Casy (Michael) Moulder, Cacy (Jeff) Victory; sister, Bonnie “Sissy” (Todd) Varney; grandchildren, Krisline Binkley, Colton Binkley, Calie Dilks, Makayla Moulder, Mallory Moulder, Lexi Ouellette; great grandchildren, Jackson Townsend, Ridlee Minton; brother-in-law, Cleavland Blanton; nieces, Kristin Delashmitt, Rebecca Delashmitt and great nephew, Weston Deslashmitt.
