Robert Franklin Sanders, age 81 of White House went home to be with the Lord Monday, January 31, 2022 at his daughter’s home.
He was born July 14, 1941 in Nashville, TN to Arden Andrew & Mary Elizabeth Carr Sanders.
He was a 1960 graduate of Goodlettsville High School. He worked for Marshall & Bruce in the Printing and Book Binding Business until his retirement. Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He loved Southern Gospel Music and had been a member of the Good News Quartet and sang with New Jerusalem. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church and had attended Erin Church of the Nazarene, while living in Erin, TN. He played baseball as a child, played church volleyball, coached the church men’s league, umpired at Moss Wright Park and Beech High City Leagues, and umpired the fast pitch girl’s leagues. He was also an avid bowler and enjoyed playing golf.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Kenneth Arden Sanders; sister, Sandra Lorene Jenkins. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Ann Sanders, White House, TN; daughters, Dana (Jason) Dorris, White House, TN, Ginger (Perry) Morris, Cottontown, TN and Leigh Ann Grey, Jacksonville, FL; 7 grandchildren, Karleigh, Olivia, Leo, Hannah, Rachel, Lindsey, and Emmie; 5 great-grandchildren, Adelide, Thomas, Remington, Everleigh and Joleigh.
Funeral service will be announced on Tuesday when burial can be finalized with cemetery.
Visitation is planned for Thursday, February 3, 2022 3-7 pm at Temple Baptist Church 117 Marlin Road White House, TN 37188 Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 4, 2022 (time to be announced) at Temple Baptist Church with Bro. H.D. Jones and Bro. Daniel Medders officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with military honors and with Perry Morris, Jason Dorris, Tim Minenna, Drew Sanders, Ty Van Meeteren, Leo Teasley, Tim Denton, and Ron Denton serving as pallbearers..
Memorial contributions may be made to the Temple Baptist Church Legacy Fund in Bob’s memory.
