Rickey “Shane” Clifford, age 44 of Cross Plains passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Vanderbilt Medical Center.
He was born September 18, 1977 in Fullerton, CA to Rickey Dale & Ann Marie Medeiros Clifford.
Shane was employed as a Captain with the Sumner County EMS, where he had served for the past 20 years. He was also employed as a Realtor with Haven Realty. He enjoyed fishing and boating. He affectionately called his fishing boat “his girlfriend”. He loved joking and spending time with his friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Ann Ryan.
He is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Lavonne Clifford; son, Mason Clifford; daughter, Madelyn Clifford, all of Cross Plains, TN; father, Dr. Rickey Dale (Judie) Clifford, Goodlettsville, TN; brothers, Aaron (Janelle) Clifford, White House, TN, and Dale Clifford, Murfreesboro, TN.
Funeral service is scheduled for Friday, January 28, 2022 at 11 am at Long Hollow Baptist Church, with Bro. Rob Massie and Bro. Chris Griffith officiating. Doors will open at 10 am on Friday. Interment will follow in White House Memorial Gardens with the Sumner County EMS Honor Guard serving as pallbearers. Visitation with the family is planned for Thursday, January 27, 2022 4-8 pm at Long Hollow Baptist Church.
