Reed Rose, age 93, of Springfield, TN, passed away Friday, March 24, 2023 at Morningside Assisted Living in Springfield.
Mr. Rose was born April 29, 1929 in McClure, VA to the late Charlie and Lydia Childress Rose.
He retired from the U.S. Army after 21 years of service and served two tours in Vietnam.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Rose was preceded in death by his wife, Terry Irene Davis Rose; 5 brothers and 2 sisters.
He is survived by his stepson, Larry (Linda) Foy; stepdaughters, Anita (Darryl) Wiggins, and Patricia Rowlings; 8 step-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 pm Sunday, April 2, 2023 in the Waverly Cemetery in Waverly, VA.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday, March 28th at the Austin & Bell Funeral Home, 2619 Highway 41 S, Greenbrier, TN 37073, and again from 12-1:30 pm Sunday, April 2nd at the R. W. Baker & Company Funeral Home, 11414 General Mahone Highway, Wakefield, VA 23888.
