Peggy (Wheeler) Alley

Peggy Ann Wheeler Alley, 80, of Springfield, passed from this life on Monday, November 1, 2021, at The Residence at Alive Hospice in Nashville.

Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, November 6th at 2:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Reverend Kenneth Massey and Tim Harris officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Peggy was born September 24, 1941, in Madison to the late Fred and Margaret Draper Wheeler. She was a graduate of Goodlettsville High School Class of 1959. She played basketball during her high school years, and her team won the NIL Championship her Senior year. Peggy was a retired Vice President with the former Bank of Goodlettsville and was a member of Goodlettsville Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She loved gardening, being at home and cooking, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Peggy is survived by her husband, Leslie Alley, whom she would be married to for 62 years this December, by her daughter: Angela Anderson Ramsey and husband Mark of Springfield, by her brother: Tommy Wheeler and wife Donna of Hendersonville, by her sisters: Patsy Nixon and husband Karl of Goodlettsville, Vickie Slate and husband Mark of Oxford, MS, by her grandchildren: Ashley Lansing, Abbey Anderson, Chase Ray, Markie Ramsey Sneed, Natasha Ramsey, and Austin Anderson, and by her great-grandchildren: Parker and Darby Lansing.
