Paul Thomas Graves, age 80, of Cedar Hill, Tennessee passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023, at his home.

Paul was born November 9, 1942, in Springfield.

He was a graduate of Jo Byrns High School Class of 1960 and was a retired construction pipefitter and a farmer. Paul was a former member of New Chapel United Methodist, where he taught Sunday School, and was a current member of Porter’s Chapel United Methodist Church.

He was a member and past Master of Western Star Lodge, a 32nd Degree Mason, a former Shriner, and a member of the Pipefitter’s Union Local 572. Paul enjoyed hunting, camping, riding horses, roping, woodworking, playing guitar and mandolin, and was a dog and horse trainer.

He was preceded in death by his father: Jewell Graves, by his mother: Julia Head Graves Moss, by his grandparents that raised him: Morris and Myrtle Head, and by his brothers: Mark and David Moss.

Paul is survived by his wife, Mary Wilks Graves, whom he would be married to 60 years this coming December, by his son: Michael Graves of Murfreesboro, by his daughter and son-in-law: Dawn and David Arnold of Adams, and by his grandchildren: Ashley (Colton) James and Blake Arnold and fiancee Hayley Dozier.

Graveside services were conducted Sunday, October 8th at 3:00 p.m. in the Dunn Cemetery in Cedar Hill with Pastor Rebecca Rochte Votral officiating. James Henshaw, Phillip Moss, Jaxson Moss, Frank Smith, Ralph Leftrick, and Darrell Burkhart will serve at pallbearers.
