Oscar Benton Jones, age 77, of Springfield, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2024 at the Waters of Springfield.
Mr. Jones was born December 27, 1946, in Robertson County, to the late William Sidney Jones and Marion Katherine Hughes Jones.
He was a General Contractor most of his life.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Kaye Hulsey Jones; son, Thomas Lee Jones; and brothers, David Hughes, William Jones, and Ronnie Jones.
He is survived by sons, Christopher Benton (Kathy) Jones, Oscar Scott (Della) Jones, and David Keith (Tina) Jones; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Martha (L.C.) Glenn.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm on Sunday, April 28th in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Pastor Jack Fry officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenbrier Cemetery with Zack Jones, Nick Jones, Baylee Jones, Noah Jones, Luke Jones, Blake Jones, and Nate Jones serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 12-2 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
